Pappas Chiropractic and Functional Diagnostic Center has a Nurse Practitioner on staff to provide preventative and acute health-care services to individuals of all ages.
NP's are advanced practice registered nurses (RN's) who perform a full scope of medical services including taking health histories, provide complete physical examinations, diagnose and treat many common acute and chronic problems, interpret laboratory results, prescribe and manage medications and other therapies, provide health teaching and counseling to support healthy lifestyles. Their role is to aid in illness prevention; referring patients to health professionals as needed.
Common Services Provided by Nurse Practitioners
Sick Visits: cold & flu, strep tests, GI disorders, skin and nail infections, aches and pains, etc.
Chronic Care: treatment of diabetes, asthma, hypertension, hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol)
